21. Name one thing you feel brings out the good in people.
Honestly, I think people are good in general, and it's just a lot of missed intentions and selfishness that leads to things going wrong. But it's easiest for people to be good when they're loved and secure about the love around them.
22. Describe a time in your life when everything turned out fine, despite the odds.
Usually when I'm in midterms/ finals season - which is often - I tend to get lazy and not work as much as I think I should. So I often to into exams quite unprepared, but still not in panic mode, and somehow I end up doing fine. Even if I don't do as well as I should or could, I don't really end up learning from it.
23. If you invented a device that could fix one problem you are facing
right now, would you use it? What problem would you like to solve?
The problem of feeling alone, and I would definitely use it. I'm not sure what it is, but I just feel alone and unloved sometimes (see question 25) and I think I would solve it so that I stop feeling this way - not so that anyone changes around me, but I stop having these destructive and mostly untrue feelings.
24. Write about the last time you spoke to your best friend. What did you talk about?
I'm talking to her right now, we tend to talk about everything and anything in our lives. We go from talking about music to celebrities to deep dark life secrets to minor annoyances to everything, and I love it.
25. Describe a time you felt alone.
Recently, I've been feeling more alone than ever. I used to get this feeling sometimes in high school when I felt like I was alone and unattractive because everyone else had some guy interested in them and I didn't, but my closest friends and I never really had boyfriends. Therefore, the feeling quickly passed. However, in college I think it's because my friends around me are coupling up that I no longer have the excuse of not knowing any boys so all I can do is blame myself and whatever unattractive qualities I have. This is a burden that's just painful and I don't know how to get rid of it, since talking to someone about this is so far from what I want to do (and I hate looking vulnerable in front of other people). And especially when the people I'm interested in are interested in my friends and I have to watch it, that's when it gets harder.
26. Name something you found; what was it and where did you find it?
I find random coins on the ground all the time - maybe other people don't look for them, maybe I'm cheap, maybe they think they're too dirty to pick up, maybe I'm the only one who cares for such sums. However, I pick them up and hand them to people all the time or put them into my pocket and then they lie around my room.
27. What’s on your calendar for tomorrow?
Work, I have a midterm in two days. Nothing much else, I should actually check my calendar before answering this question since I never seem to remember anything unless it's written down.
28. What is the most annoying sound you have ever heard?
Usually once I notice some kind of repetitive sound it becomes annoying to me - e.g. someone sniffling in class or fiddling. I also hate the sound of people vomiting (not that I know anyone who likes that).
29. Describe your first job.
I've had various internships - I don't think these count as jobs.
30. What is the one thing you cannot live without?
Love. The moment I feel like I'm unloved or that no one cares about me, I just shrivel up and become all moody and upset and angry.
